Once Upon A Time...

...we went to visit my MIL. It's been a few months, so now is as good a time as any to blog about it. There is an awesome Childrens Museum. It has a grocery store, lots of things to dress up, post office, airport, etc. It is awesome...and by donation only.

One of the days, we headed to the mall and took a few rides.

Next, we headed over to Barnes & Noble

Looking at these pictures and the kids now, even in just a few short months, they've changed.

We headed out to Ms aunt and uncles house to visit. The last time we were at my MILs we tried to visit them, but E got car sick on the way out there.
Anyways, we made it out there. Aunt Nancy had made chocolate chip cookies-yum! They have a great backyard with lots of land! On sone of this land, they let their neighbors goats graze.

We heard about an airplane museum and had to go check it out! It is also based on donations and run by veterans, who have a passion for planes.

We had a great visit!

More Visitors

We've been fortunate enough to have a good amount of visitors this summer-and we're not done yet! My aunt, uncle and cousin, Jared, were coming out to Utah for a couple weeks and were able to make a quick stop in Idaho.

My Aunt brought play dough and we spent the morning playing with that.

My aunt read some stories to the kiddos, played horse, ran around the back yard

Then we headed out to the site of the Teton Dam. It was an amazing view.

We then showed them BYU-Idaho campus through the car windows :-) We picked up some pizzas and came back and ate, put E down for a nap and said "see ya later."

The next day, I got a text from "The Dealio" saying free root beer floats in town. A few of us headed over. Surprise, they also had free hot dogs and a few police officers with their cars. D was in heaven!

D saw the guns in the patrol car and told the officer "My dad has 2 guns and kills bad guys." The officer gave me a funny look, so I explained that dad is a police officer.
Thanks Dealio for a good time!

Summer Lovin'

It typically isn't too hot, but every now and then it hits the 90s. HOT. Most of the time when it is so hot, we play inside, but the kids still beg to go out and play. So, the other day, I filled up the kids pool…and they loved it!

I let D just go out in his underwear :-)

E was a little hesitant at first, but warmed up and enjoyed the water. D loved going down the slide into the pool.

In sadder news, my cat, Max, was put down today. My mom called me earlier this afternoon. He had a seizure early this morning, and was just not doing well. My sister, Madeline, took him to the vet. They suggested doing a lot of tests and blood, but considering his age (15!), not responding to different treatments, they said maybe not. They also thought it could be a brain tumor. So sad. Max was a beast, but also the most sweet cat. Miss ya buddy! RIP.
