More Painting

The house had a plain white door when we moved in. It wasn't working for me, so I painted it red. I liked it, but I didn't use exterior paint so it wasn't holding up as well as I would have liked, so it was back to the drawing board…and truthfully, I'm not sure I'm 100% sold on the new color…blue. I want blue, but I'm not sure if this is the right blue :-)

Here is the beginning of the process, taping, taking off the door handle, and the original color:

I had a couple of cute helpers. D helped stir and paint some

And M helped get prime as well

Next up, coat 1 of the new color

And the second and last coat. We also replaced all of the exterior door handles.

So, do I keep it? Or do I go for a deeper blue, like this?

I also finished painting my interior doors. I really like how they turned out. If the weather would corporate, I could finish the handles. But for now, a picture :-)

Total Goofs

I am so glad that D and E both have crazy, fun, spirited personalities. Guarantees a never dull moment.

While the boys were away...

Our ward had it's annual Father-Sons Campout…and M was able to take off work and go with D. To stay D was excited would be an understatement.

In preparation for this, we got our tent out and sleeping bag we got for our wedding a few years ago.

Anyways, after E went to bed I decided it was time to clean the main bathroom floor. Home Right also agreed :-)

In the box, was the NEW Steam Machine Plus. First, for me, read the instructions :-)

After reading it, and seeing all it could do, it was time!

It comes with a convenient measuring cup:

I love that it has the triangle cleaning head. It maneuvers so easy and was able to go around the base of the cabinet so easy.

It heats up fast. In the instruction book it says "25 seconds." Super fast, and it has various light colors (red when it is heating up and then changes to a pretty blueish/purple)

And my favorite part? All the little gadgets. Specifically the grout cleaner. I took the handheld attachment off and put the grout attachment on and went to town on the grout.

I really like this steam machine and would recommend it. It is narrow, so storing it is no problem. I love that there is a hand held attachment, and all the little attachments that can do so much. It is easy to wash (throw in washer with a mild detergent and lay flat).

The big 4

David is a big 4 year old. We started the morning off by opening a few presents.

the had doughnuts at the local grocery store.

The day before, Mark had the big task of putting together the swing set that my mom and grandma chipped in on. He was able to get it fully together in like 8 hours. He was awesome! E had already gone to bed by the time it was done, but D got right on it and immediately loved it! E loved it equally and they both have enjoyed it!

Part of Ms desire to get the swing set put together, was our agreement he could build a fire pit when the swing set was done.

The kids have loved it and we have enjoyed doing smores in the evenings!

Next up, party time! I had D make the choice as to who he invited. Not going to lie, that was hard! But, none the less, he had a great time with his friends.

In true Idaho fashion, the weather was bipolar! Fortunately, we didn't have any rain, but we did have wind. We ended up just singing Happy Birthday and later had him blow out candles inside.

We opened presents inside.

Happy birthday my little man!
