It's a...BOY!!!!

Yes, you read that correctly! We found out this past Tuesday exactly what "it" is. Of course, he is definitely our child. He had his legs crossed to start off with! Already stubborn inside the womb. Haha. The ultrasound tech decided it would be best to look at the the rest of his little body-heart was pump strong (176 beats per minute exactly!) Anyways, when she was rolling the ultrasound machine across my stomach, something popped up on the screen. She and I looked at each other, both wondering if the other had seen it. Thats when things started to pick up and he decided to come out and play. There it was, clear as day...

We are so excited and grateful to welcome him into our family! The name we have decided on is David Thomas. David is Marks middle name and Thomas is Marks dads name. Here are some more pictures of our growing boy...
This is hand/arm...kind of cramped in there :-)

And his little feet (that look big because of how zoomed in the ultrasound tech was)

Catching up with Christmas

This year we spent Christmas with Marks family in Illinois! It was so fun to be with them, though I did miss my family- Getting there (and back for that matter) was difficult with the snow that covered the country. But, after many delays we landed safely and the fun began. I wish I had had my camera handy, but instead it stayed mostly tucked away in the suitcase. Katie had hers Christmas morning...

Notice the huge 12 foot + Christmas tree behind us! Filled with many gifts, some even for our little one! We enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and lots of yummy food (even if my stomach didnt approve every night :-)
Now we are back home...I am back to work, we were some what busy this past week, but I am enjoying it! Mark starts school on Tuesday. Still waiting to hear what is to happen with deployment.
Even amidst the busyness, we enjoy our neighbors and the fun get togethers! New Years Eve we went out to dinner with Ralph and Norma who have recently bought a house. Texas Road House was far too busy, but Outback was a shorter way. We then came back and had a few more neighbors over for games! Such a fun night! We look forward to this next year and the adventures it will bring!

Snow, snow, snow

Seeing as how we live in Rexburg, snow is a very common thing! I am grateful for a husband gets up and shovels the walkways and car area. Here are some pictures from the most recent snow storm (with more on its way!) I would like to point out he is wearing SHORTS and CROCKS! Haha. Only Mark could get away it. I love him though!
